The most expensive place to ride transit

Earlier this month, Denver earned the superlative as the most expensive place to ride transit when compared to over a dozen cities of similar size or larger, according to Streetsblog.

Regional Transportation District (RTD) adult fares now cost $3 (up from $2.60), while regional fares will set you back $5.25, as opposed to the previous $4.50 cost. A trip to the airport is up from $9 to $10.50.

Reprieve will be given to those between six and 19 years of age at a 70 percent discount, and lower-income individuals will receive a 40 percent discount.
