Kickstarter has become one of my go-to sources for coming up with new and unique gift ideas for hard-to-shop for friends and family.
But there is one major issue with this strategy: Kickstarter is essentially a platform for pre-selling a product. So even if I found the perfect gift on Kickstarter today, chances would be slim that it would arrive on my doorstep before Christmas.
