A variety of technological platforms have become crucial to the way we communicate. So it may be surprising to know that in the communications industry, most professionals rely on older, established technologies rather than newer ones like social media.

Email continues to be the most used communications tool to distribute information. In a study done by PRSA and APPrise Mobile it was found that while most individuals possess mobile devices, companies are behind the curve in effectively deploying and using these technology platforms.

The study begs the question, where do we need to rethink the way our story is communicated?
