Ever watch an interview and wonder what the heck the person being interviewed wants us to know? That happens because they don’t even know what their messages are.
Take time to prepare for an interview or presentation. Think through what three things you want your audience to know.
Is it your customer service? Your professional approach? Your credentials and experience? If you’re having trouble coming up with something, just write out relevant words. Oddly enough, they frequently evolve into complete sentences that then morph into more fleshed-out statements.
Develop your messages ahead of time and reap the benefits afterward.
