Scooters in Denver: One year later

by The 100 Companies

It has been one year since electric scooters descended upon Denver. What started as a few hundred dockless vehicles has evolved to more than 2,800 scooters around Denver as part of the city’s plan to reduce single-occupant vehicle commute trips from 73 to 50 percent by 2030.

According to data from the city, there are about 4,800 daily rides. So far, there have been no deaths in Denver, though there have been severe injuries. Denver Health reported 40 percent of scooter injuries they see are head related. Two people have been arrested for DUIs.

Happy – and safe – scooting!
