When hearing the word library, most people think books. However, more than anything, libraries are repositories for information. That information comes in many forms: books, e-books, DVDs, internet databases and even librarians.
Online, in print or in person, libraries are valuable places to access what is unavailable to many outside of them. Libraries also serve as community hubs that connect people not only to just the information they are seeking, but also other people.
More people than ever are visiting their local library. From unemployed job hunters to mothers with their children, the library is a sanctuary for material.
