On 2018’s words of the year: Look for antonyms

What’s the word, Oxford Dictionaries? That question has a poisonous answer, it seems.

The famous lexicon’s choice of “toxic” for its 2018 Word of the Year seems to describe the western world’s current zeitgeist (how’s that for a word?), one often marked by division and anger.

Maybe Cambridge Dictionary picked a happier word? But “nomophobia,” or the fear of not having your mobile phone, seems anchored in more 21st-century anxiety and cynicism.

And this all comes after Dictionary.com chose “misinformation” as the year’s most notable word.

Words have power, so how about we choose some antonyms for 2019?
