Colorado’s national parks after the government shutdown

With the recent government shutdown – and another potential one on the horizon – Colorado’s national parks are looking to bounce back after weeks of lost revenue. Here’s how you can help:

• Consider donating to our four national parks: Black Canyon of the Gunnison, Great Sand Dunes National Park and Preserve, Rocky Mountain National Park and Mesa Verde National Park.

• Stay up to date by following National Parks Conservation Association on Twitter.

• If another government shutdown occurs, park officials advise visitors against cleaning the park personally for safety reasons.

• For more ways to individually assist the four parks, check out 5280’s article.
