Just east of Red Rocks Park and Amphitheatre is the Morrison-Golden Fossil Areas National Natural Landmarks Dinosaur Ridge, ranked the top dinosaur track site in North America.
Documented discoveries here date back to the 1800s, like the discovery of Stegosaurus the Colorado state fossil which was unearthed in 1877.
Today, you can go on a guided walk around Dinosaur Ridge, where a volunteer guide will take you on a tour of the dinosaur tracks and bone fossils found in the region. With each tour, youll also get access to the Exhibit Hall, where youll learn more about Dinosaur Ridges famous discoveries.
