Travel season is upon us. People will be travelling to grandma and grandpa’s house, but also climbing, biking, backpacking, kayaking and camping. These activities require a proper first aid kit, but sizes vary based upon packing capabilities. Here are some necessary items for your kit:
• Prescription medications
• Bandages
• Antiseptic wipes and creams to prevent infections
• Latex condoms to act as a compact water bottle
• Tweezers
• Triangular bandage to make a sling
These items can be placed in a small pack or be part of a larger kit, depending on your activity. For larger kits see the CDC’s Traveler Survival Guide.
