Fueling for Peak Performance

by

There seem to be as many diet options as there are stars in the sky these days. How do you know you are eating the right kinds of food to fuel athletic performance?

At its core, a well-rounded meal includes three macronutrients — carbohydrates, fats and proteins. If you consistently eliminate one or two macronutrients at every meal, you aren’t satisfied and probably get hungry an hour later. That’s when you risk overindulging in questionable snacks instead of nutritious food.

Mindfully considering what we eat helps us perform at our best during a competition or even at work or school.
