Imagine starting your music career with a violin comprised of cornstalk, wood and string. Then, fast forward 20 years and you’re preforming for the King and Queen of England.
Sound unbelievable? Colorado-native George Morrison did exactly that. Morrison first played publicly in his hometown of Boulder, where he would preform with his brother at mining camps.
As a married man, he moved to Denver, worked as an elevator operator and started his very first band – all at the same time. Next up was a world tour and eventually signing to a Denver label, etching his name in the Colorado music history books.
