Larimer Square, downtown’s oldest historic district and a premier shopping and dining destination, is headed for a makeover.
Jeff Hermanson, CEO of Larimer Associates, announced plans for constructing two new buildings, renovating brick walkways, attracting new businesses and planting rooftop gardens. The new buildings will be located in underused courtyards and alleyways, and one of them will be dedicated to affordable housing. The project is expected to begin in 2019.
“Larimer Square is a world-renowned destination,” said Hermanson. “We want to preserve all that is special and historic while ensuring this iconic block remains vibrant for generations to come.”
