Roughly 3.9 million employees in the U.S. now work from home. Although many companies are becoming more progressive and allowing workers to forego the office life, some cities have more remote employees than others.
As a state, Colorado has the highest percentage of home-based workers in the country, with large concentrations in Boulder, Centennial and Highlands Ranch.
In Boulder specifically, 14.9 percent of the workforce is remote. That makes it the top telecommuting spot in the country, according to FlexJobs. With so much natural beauty, how could any Boulder resident stay in an office all day?
