As we approach Giving Tuesday on Nov. 28, we’re shining a light on those doing good in Colorado. More than half of all foster parents quit within the first year, as they are underprepared, unsupported and left unequipped to handle the diverse needs of foster children, who are in a vulnerable situation and in need of greater support themselves.
Foster Source is a nonprofit aiming to change that. Through its training programs, relief services and therapy support, it provides foster parents with the tools, both physical and emotional, to build trust with their foster children and grow supportive, life-changing relationships.
