“Wake Me Up Before You Go-Go” – for the first time in over 20 years, Americans are not sleeping very well. This speaks to women under 50 in particular.
According to a Gallup poll, 57% of U.S. adults are exhausted. The opposite was true in 2013. The study suggests those 65 and older are much more rested than their younger counterparts. A major reason behind the lack of shut eye is stress. Younger women, ages 18-49, are the most stressed. Other reasons are depression and poor mental health.
Only 26% of us are getting the doctor recommended eight hours of sleep.
