From Star Wars to Sea Creatures: Denver’s Art Scene

by

Costumes from all the Star Wars movies. First Friday Art Walks. An evening of cave painting and tequila. Giant sculptures depicting sea life crafted from beach debris.

These are just a few of the arts and cultural-related exhibitions and events in Denver this year, adding up to a huge economic impact on city.

Based on a recent study by the Colorado Business Committee for the Arts, arts, cultural and scientific organizations generate $1.8 billion in economic activity with an economic impact of $512 million. They create more than 10,000 jobs, with outreach to children around 4 million.
