Past the town of Yampa, off the beaten path (literally), and at the foot of the Flat Top mountains sits the trailhead for the Devil’s Causeway hike.
If you enjoy thrills, take a chance on this remarkably beautiful adventure to the top of the Flats. You’ll spend 3 miles traveling around lakes and up across switchbacks to reach the causeway at the top, at over 10,000 feet. NBD.
With an elevation gain of 1800, this trail isn’t for the faint-hearted. But for avid hikers, its worth every minute of the long trip out there. The views are out of this world.
