‘Tis the season, but not necessarily real estate season. Yet some homebuyers are seriously house-hunting this time of year. Here’s how to embrace the holidays and stage your home.

A neutral stance is best. Decorate your tree to complement your décor rather than masses of ornaments, and use holiday touches anyone might find appealing, like pinecones or nutcrackers instead of nativity scenes. Avoid cluttering your space with too many decorations.

Outside, the massive blow-up Frosty might need to go. Use lighting to showcase your home’s uniqueness. Before you know it, you’ll be toasting to the “sold” sign.
