Two Northern Colorado institutions are teaming up for a one-of-a-kind beer release. Peel Handcrafted Pizza, located in Frederick, and Berthoud Brewing have collaborated on Union Blanc, a Belgian-style pale ale crafted with local malts from Troubadour Maltings.
Union Blanc, Peel’s first collaboration beer, is an easy-drinking, bright beer. The balance of yeasts creates a beer that is the perfect partner for Peel’s award-winning pizzas, such as the seasonal Mela pizza featuring green apple, blue cheese, tender belly bacon, aged cheddar and parsley cream sauce.
The beer will be released at Peel on May 19.
