Skip the Rocky Mountains for this often-overlooked national park

by The 100 Companies

Colorado is home to one of the most-visited national parks in the U.S., with Rocky Mountain National Park seeing 4.5 million guests annually. But it’s also home to one of the most overlooked national parks, the Black Canyon of the Gunnison National Park.

With less than 300,000 guests annually, this park is the least-visited of Colorado’s national parks. Travel the rim of a canyon 60 million years in the making or obtain a permit to hike inside it. The park is certified as an International Dark Sky Park, so be sure to stick around for incredible night sky viewing.
