A new gateway to the Rockies

Residents of Estes Park, as well as tourists, will soon be able to hike a new trail leading to Rocky Mountain National Park. A $400,000 federal grant from the Land and Water Conservation Fund is paying for the 1.1-mile trail connecting the Mountain Meadows subdivision to one of the nation’s finest recreation areas

The grant money will go directly to the town, which is using its own resources to construct the trail. This is simply the latest development in a region with so many amazing outdoor activities. Check out a map of trails in the area here.
