Celebrate the Year of the Dog at the Colorado Dragon Boat Festival July 28-29. The annual celebration of Asian and Asian-American heritage is the country’s largest pan-Asian dragon boat festival.
This year’s event, celebrating Mongolia, has 160 performers and vendors. Festivalgoers can participate in athletic competitions, interactive Japanese obon dances and origami workshops, while checking out the marketplace and enjoying a variety foods at the Taste of Asia.
Held at Sloan’s Lake Park, the festival runs Saturday, 10AM-7PM, and Sunday, 10AM-5PM. Parking is available at Auraria Campus, with no-cost shuttle rides to the festival.
