Brett Mitchell, the new music director for the Colorado Symphony, isn’t new to conducting.
After four years as an assistant conductor for the Houston Symphony, four as part of the Cleveland Orchestra’s conducting staff and five as music director of the Saginaw Bay Symphony Orchestra, Mitchell has proven himself as an esteemed conductor and director.
His plans for this year’s Colorado Symphony are to increase attendance while upholding the mission of the orchestra, which is to create extraordinary musical experiences. Upcoming performances by the symphony include Yo-Yo Ma in December and a John Williams two-part tribute in February.
