Business travel can be a drag. That’s why I try to squeeze in sightseeing when I can. On a media tour in Chicago, I walked to meetings to experience the Loop. At a trade show in Boston, I ran along the Charles River to watch the early morning rowers.
In D.C., I had time to kill after making a presentation so I asked the hotel concierge what one thing I should see. He suggested the Newseum (without knowing my profession). I was able to walk there, tour several exhibits and get to the airport on time with great memories.
