‘Hit the Bricks!’

by
Recreation of University of Colorado Boulder with Legos

Inspired by beauty of the CU Boulder campus, a group of intrepid builders has recreated it using roughly 1 million Lego bricks.

The model is called “Hit the Bricks!” and features Old Main, Macky Auditorium, Fiske Planetarium, The Hill and Folsom Field – complete with Ralphie and her handlers. It depicts realistic reflections of campus life, like slackliners and bike riders, but also shows whimsy with a shark in Varsity Pond and a student running from zombies.

The display, built by the Colorado/Wyoming Lego Users’ Group, can be seen at the Heritage Center, Monday-Saturday, 10AM-4PM. Admission is free.
