Every individual reacts differently to a tragedy, and it can be difficult to move forward when you’re feeling grief, sorrow or even anger. It’s important to allow yourself the time and energy you need to grieve and mourn.
There is no instant fix during the grieving process; however, there are practices that can help:
• Sleep
• Eat healthy
• Exercise
• Give yourself time to heal
• Look to loved ones for support
• Postpone major life changes
• Keep up a routine
• Be patient
When going through the phases of grief resist the urge to numb your feelings and be patient and compassionate with yourself.
