If you thought the only lacrosse games in town were those played by the Denver Outlaws or DU’s top-ranked Pioneers, you’re wrong. Colorado Mammoth takes the game indoors with increased speed on a shortened field.
Box lacrosse, like that played by the Mammoth and others in the National Lacrosse League, originated in Canada where it was (and is) played on covered ice rinks. While most of the NLL teams are based in the U.S., most of the players are from Canada. In fact, only one person on the current Colorado Mammoth roster is American; the rest are Canadian.
