In 1919, President Wilson proclaimed November 11 as Armistice Day, better known as Veterans Day today. It’s a day to honor veterans of all wars.
In Colorado, an annual 5K and 10K run, parade, festival and special roll call of Coloradans killed in conflict are part of Denver’s show of patriotism and support for military members past and current.
Denver’s parade begins Saturday, Nov. 12, at 10:00 a.m. at 14th & Colfax. Come support those who secured our freedom, and learn about America’s military history. Colorado Veterans Project offers ways to get involved and support our military personnel.
