Summer is right around the corner, and our neighborhood is abuzz with lawn mowers and kids playing. We look forward to reconnecting with our neighbors after winter. One of the ways we’ve built a close-knit community is by holding a regular “cul-de-que” over Memorial Day weekend.
We pull out grills and games and gather in the cul-de-sac. The drill is always the same. Everyone brings their own main dish and beverages and a dish to share. The evening inevitably ends around a fire pit. A perfect way to start summer and strengthen our neighborhood bonds.
